The winding head is removable so that a bobbin or other types of winding formers can be attached either on the shaft or against the back flange. The winding head also contains a set of high strength neodymium disc magnets which allows for a guitar pickup or other core former to be attached.

The winding shaft also extends equally out of the left side of the machine casing, so a quick switch over of the winding head assembly and front guide rail will facilitate ambidextrous (left handed) use. Another handy feature is a forward & reverse function, so at the throw of a switch the winding head will run equally as smooth & fast in the opposite direction. Full speed control from zero to 2000 RPM is achieved via the main speed controller dial.

The machines are powered via a 12vdc pluging adaptor (Supplied with machine) so only a low, safe voltage is active at the machine end.
