Nomex / Polyester Laminate (NPN252)

Description...  This widely used slot, transformer and coil insulation consists of Nomex Aramid Paper laminated to Polyester film in a three ply configuration, (Nomex/Polyester/Nomex). This produces a material the qualities of which match the needs of many electrical insulation applications.

Applications...  Include and are not limited to - The Insulating Of: Armature Slots, Motor Stator Slots, Inter-phase Barrier Insulating, Transformer Layering, Tesla Coil Forming, and generally most applications that involve or require the insulating of coil windings.

Properties...  The combination of these two materials give excellent mechanical strength with the advantage of high temperature use. Dielectric strength is good and the materials are resistant to most industrial chemicals. This materials can be cut, punched or folded & creased to suit most applications and are also compatible with varnishes and resins.

Classification...  These composite materials are suitable for constant use at 155 degree C and are therefore classified as class F materials.

Application...  Due to their excellent properties these materials are well suited for use as slot linings, coil and phase separation and other similar applications in all types of electrical machinery.
