Prevent problems caused by Limescale and calcium build-up in pipe work. Dish washers, washing machines, household water pipes, shower heads, toilet bowls. Having the unit permanently mounted on the main inlet pipe will help prevent any build-up from the onset. The unit is supplied with a moulded power supply within a mains power supply  plug attached to approximately 2 metres of cable, together with an aerial wire with a jack plug at each end Two or more pieces of double- sided tape are already attached to the rear of the unit for final fitment purposes. This unit is suitable for a rising main of up to 13mm inside diameter (1/2").

Correct positioning of the unit is essential- There are basically 3 different areas within the house in which the unit can be fitted. These are listed below with the most effective site listed first.

Site A: Your scale BREAKER is designed to treat the whole house, and it does this when fitted on the rising cold water main after the stopcock but inside the house.

Site B: If this is inconvenient your scale BREAKER may be installed anywhere on the cold water feed to the main cold water tank. The signal will still be propagated to the entire system, although the nearer it is to the rising main the better.

Site C: If only the hot water system is to be treated, then, the best location for your scale BREAKER unit ,s on the cold water feed to the hot tank - usually in the airing cupboard.

Ensure that there is a 230 Volt mains socket within reach of the power supply mains plug.

Coil the aerial wire around the pipe with between twenty and thirty turns (the more the better), in a tight coil and fix a cable tie at each end to secure the coil. (Hint: In order to assist keeping the coil tight it does help to temporarily fix the first turn with a piece of sell tape to the pipe prior to winding the remaining turns and finally fixing with the cable ties.)

Insert both the aerial wire jack plugs into the two sockets within the unit and insert the mains plug into the 230 Volt mains socket.

Switch the unit on and the green power light should now be on together with one of the two yellow lights. The two yellow lights will now operate

one at a time with varying speeds which indicates that the unit is operating correctly. Should the yellow lamps not flash when the unit is

on then switch the unit off for approximately 2-3 minutes and switch on again. If they are still not flashing then contact your local supplier.

When you are happy with the position of the unit and the coiling of the wire, peel off the protective covering on the double sided tape and adhere the unit onto the wall of other suitable surface. After 4-6 weeks a noticeable effect should be recognised with reduced scaling in shower heads, kettles etc., although the length of time for this to occur will vary depending upon the initial amount of scaling which is present within the system. IMPORTANT INFORMATION

1) The scale BREAKER range of products are designed and  manufactured to IEC 60335-1 and are each defined as a Class II product.

2) If the mains lead is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard

3) Power must first be switched off when working on or installing or removing any parts of the unit

This module is not harmful to the environment, i.e. without chemicals and operates on a physical-inductive base. Easy to mount, no interfering with pipe work! This module protects washing machines, dish washers, heating boilers etc. Low current consumption! The magnetic waves of this decscaler polarize the salts and minerals in the water an thus prevent incrustation in conduits. Furrings will be decomposed progressively in the long run. The water will not become free from lime, the descaler simply decomposes the molecules into a new form since water which is completely free from lime is very aggressive. The water becomes a little more soft, calcium which is important for health and minerals will be maintained and consequently the taste of the water will not change.
